this is beautiful... everything I like rolled into one. Seriously! I'm a hardcore Muse fan, who loves spanish dancing and I have a fascination for "celestial" themes...
I cannot stress enough how much I love this ( seldom leave comments on here!).

This is beautiful work. Very original, even if the source material was from a song that you hardly understood. You took the impression that it made on you and ran with it. Very inspired.
I honestly do not have many qualms with this project. I wonder about the background, whether it needed to be violet or go for more of an "empty void of space" feel and go black. It would probably give more emphasis on the space within the tear, make it more layered than it is at the moment. Right now, it feels a tad shallow. When human perception is forced into a smaller area, there is a greater perception of distance. If you want to really give the impression of an expansive universe within such a small object as a tear, I would try that out.
You do need to work on anatomy, but you have done pretty well here. Drawing someone from behind has been troublesome to me, and to a lot of people, because we are so used to drawing the front of a person. Experiencing them from behind is challenging, but it adds to the mysteriousness of the creater you have made (the creator created by a creator...how redundant ). From the looks of it, where you need to improve on the back is the shoulder blades and the spine. A little more work on the musculature of the arms and the wrists, and you will be golden. Otherwise, it is a very beautiful work.
I remember having a conversation with you about trying to bring attention to our work without the need of fandom, such as Irkens, but with our own skill. This, I believe, may be a defining work for you, for the short time that I have seen your work.

I realise it's a trait with me not to take much to the lyrics - I feel more inspired by the melody or the beat than to work out the meanings. See, I'm doing a unit of poetry at school (again!) and it's evident from my class contributions that I seldom ever get the intended idea of the poet.. Of course, there are no rights or wrongs, but I can gather that I'm not the best when I see how others can get it right the first time ^^' Pictures are for me, but prose is a no! My challenge next time is to stick with a song's intentions, I think
Ah, yeah, you mean the background inside the tear or the background around the tear? I can explain for the inside of the tear, that the violet tinge comes from the "Colour overlay", sort of Layer setting in Photoshop. It was to help bring a tint to the tear's surface because I consider it a very glassy and clear entity - bring it a little more 3D. If you're saying about the background on the outside of the tear not being black.. that was matter of my own choice rather than any thoughtful consideration! I'll see when I get the time soon this month to fix whatever problem it is, I'd hate to leave it left unsatisfiable to you!
Definitely. And try not to be nervous drawing someone from behind! But regardless of which way they are facing, I still need to focus more on muscle structure certainly, since I feel quite confident with the proportions. Just gotta shape it right!
Thank you very much It's one of the prime examples of what artistic scope I am.
Lastly, I must apologise again for leaving another comment lingering for so long. My more overwhelmingly interested ones I tend to leave for later until I feel I can give my best response - hence I tend to answer the smaller, less thoughtful comments first - less effort, easy to push off, meaning easy to pass by my mind. These kind of comments stay with me however (:

I kinda sat here, staring between the picture and my keyboard for a while.
Nothing. Like the galaxies within the picture, any semblance of praise I could put together was sucked into some vacuous, awestruck black hole. There's just so many places to begin. The meaning and depth behind it all is simply stunning, as I'm sure you've gathered from others by now. xP
After staring a good while, I'd say my favorite part has to be the small lettering "Happy Birthday Grace". Yep. That. It shows the motive behind the picture, and the bond of friendship between people, and the picture is a result of what such bonds can produce.

*Hugs, since she's really bad at emoticons. xP*
You deserved it indeed! It's easy to see all the work and detail you went into putting here, so it's clear it meant a lot to you. I hope she loved it.
I hope things stay well for you and your friends. Keep up the lovely work! <3

Thank you...so...it is...beautiful....
And no, I did not forget it.I just thought you might have disliked the motive and would not want to draw it or so; I did not want to force you since I know you have much to do...
...my computer is too stupid for that. I want to print it out on big, glossy paper and put it onto my wall.

You know, when I was thinking of what gift I was going to draw you, I thought of doing a Flamenco dancer too. But when I went to tell Mary, she had coincidentally already thought of it, and was working on it. We had the same idea! XD

Dammit. I did not fave it! Not seeing it in the gallery made me think you deleted it for some reason. *phew*
Mh, something I'd have a look at again are the shoulder blades. I tried checking it in the mirror, which was a little difficult, but the horizontal lines marking their position appears wrong to me - it should be more diagonal. I will search for a proper reference, wait...

So, yeah, the muscle-structure could have been a little better...but...that's all.
I love the stars and the galaxies, the planets and the overall lights...it gives the picture such a beautiful look!
I deeply love the atmosphere, this dreamy, wonderful, fantastic feeling it brings across.
I want to go to a shop, print it out as a big, glossy poster and write another comment. I love to look at it.
Thank you so much for all the effort you must have put into that!

Wow, pretty impressive pose anmd such. I suggest you to practise some more on the anatomy. Buy a human anatomy book or something, because it really works. References improve your art alot, trust me. Anyway, love the coloring and the way you made it look all dark and stuff. Can't wait to see more of your works hehe.

Yeah, I remeber you suggested getting me one a while ago, but I haven't been able to get one because we're kinda low on money at the moment P: But you're certainly right on that one, refs do help. Thank you.
