NAME: Ptychohyla hypomykter
COMMON NAME: Copan Stream Frog
IUCN REDLIST: Critically endangered (2006)
LOCATION: Wild, in natural environment. El Cusuco National Park, Honduras.
WHEN: June 20, 2009.

FLASH: yes, internal flash

In 2004, it had only been considered endangered. By 2006, IUCN classified this species population to have declined enough to be classified as critically endangered. This change in status occured rapidly due to the sharp decline in population due mainly to the chytrid fungus and habitat destruction. It is considered locally to be common in it's habitat range of western Guatemala, Honduras and central Nicaragua
