RaidenOnce again, the forces of darkness will attempt to take Earthrealm
for their own
our defenses are weak, and our heroes are few and far between
alone they cannot hope to prevail against the armies of Outworld and the
demons of the Netherrealm
but still I stand by their side, and will vanquish all who seek to
do Earthrealm harm
With lightning coursing through my veins and flowing from my fingertips
I've lowered myself from immortal god to man, to fight
alongside mortals against a common foe
Evildoers beware! For you cannot hope to win!
Earthrealm's champions are mightier than any monster of Outworld or
the depths of Hell
and the god of thunder will strike you down before you can do Earthrealm harm

i love raiden for all the same reasons haha, like what god would ever form into a weaker being to merely fight evil, evil that even the elder gods fear, evil that is somewhat stronger than himself, Raiden would. I like the last paragraph the most!

Awesome! Have you played Mortal Kombat X yet? It's a fun game, and Raiden's arguably at his strongest there. He's starting to become more anti-heroish again, and he FUCKS Shinnok up at the end of storymode

I wish raiden existed too haha, i don't get why he's suddenly considered a villain after mk X. He's only doing what he thinks is good for earth realm- sure his new form wants to destroy other realms but all his evil are on good intentions.

I don't think he's considered a villain. I think that's fan speculation based on the arcade mode endings. I have the game, and from my experience I think he's becoming more of an anti-hero. The later games have shown that not everyone from Outworld is evil, but Raiden wants to have control over Outworld to prevent anyone else evil from ruling it. If he goes too far and starts committing atrocities against Outworld, then he's a villain, but that hasn't been shown yet. Sometime villains can have good intentions, they're just misguided. it remains to be seen if that's Raiden or not.

I agree, it dose remain to be seen. I just hope people don't assume he's a full on villain neither in real life nor in game
