Description
This is intended as an entry for the ID contest at MobianMinistry [link] , a DA club for Christian Sonic the Hedgehog fans. It was inspired by Matthew 6:19-21: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” In other words, it’s better to put more stock into spiritual things (as Sonic is) than material things (as Rouge is).On another level, the picture can just be a contrast of Sonic and Rouge. They’re both free spirits who live life by their rules, but Rouge puts all her energy into the pursuit of jewels and material goods, while Sonic seems to enjoy life without worrying about those things. In the end, I sense that he’d be happier.

how bout it...life is so meaningless if you can't share the beauty of life...in a lot of ways I'm glad I'm not rich cause where does having so many materials bring any much happiness? Plus if you can't share things also with someone...what good is it?

Poor Rouge is bored out of her skull wondering wtf to do... I say she buy everyone ice-cream or something! I've never seen her in this light before, but it makes sense.
Sonic's roaming around enjoying himself as per usual... I remember him doing so in SonicX, so cute <3

Well, the characters seem different in STH 06, but everyone just pretends that game doesn't exist,becuase, well, it really shouldn't exist, and all the characters are different in a bad way as well, Sonic especially is quite uncharacteristic.

It's rather hard to explain,really.
He didn't seem to have his sense of adventure, or his 'lets have some fun' attitude, but there was so much missing, somehow I don't seem to have the capacity to describe it.
One thing, was that his manner was entirely different, the way he talked,moved,gestured and even posed, it's strange what an impact it had, to see him do all of it differently, ugh but there's something else, I can't put my finger on it *thinks hard* I think it's best you just watch these [link] - the hilarious commentary more than makes up for the cruddy game.

Actually you can be happy without money...
you judgment is just clouded by the material obsession you must have. If you look hard enough, you can see your wrong.
Have you ever been amused by a wild animal? If you have, that is a spiritual treasure. Thats something that money can't buy. A true lover is also something money can't buy.

I thought about a contrast like Sonic and Eggman or Sonic and Shadow, but when I saw that verse Rouge was the one who fit the bill.
Does Sonic fit the bill as the more spiritual character? I'm not entirely sure. He does seem to be a "live for today" type as well, but in a different way.
