Description 1st people of the arctic and subarctic tundra. Once known as Eskimos (eater of raw meat)

The everyday life in modern Inuit settlements, established only some decades ago, still reflects the 5,000-year-long history of a typical hunting culture which allowed the Inuit peoples and their ancestors to achieve one of the most remarkable human accomplishments, the population of the Arctic.

Drawn on 9"x12" Strathmore 400 paper with 2h, h, hb & 4b pencil, blending stump and kneaded eraser.

You have captured the age in the face and the hands very beautifully and accurately.  Very well done indeed.

I like the subtle wind effects on the awesome fur lining - really works to suggest the cold. He looks dignified, wistful and stoic all at once: so much character.
