Description
The southern country store reflects life along tobacco road in the Carolinas during the 1930's. Cold soda pop, cigarettes, gas and misc items offered up relief from the temped heat in the tobacco fields. The lofts above the store were used to hang & cure tobacco leaf in many of these crossroad stores.
This started as a side project I work on between scheduled projects. I keep going back and adding / changing things so I'm not quite ready to call it complete. I actually cut off an entire gas pump to the right of the drawing to reduce the drawing to 8 1/2 x 11.

This looks a lot like that 1930's photograph taken of a roadside gas station,the one that inspired a scene at Epcot's American Adventure show.

The ref is a 1939 photonegative by Dorthea Lang. I think you're referring to the same image. I'm not aware of the Epcot show you mentioned.
