Wally was on the other side of the building when it happened.
Thay all split up in the teams of two. Him and Artemis, M'gann and Robin, Kaldur and Conner.
Some minutes ago the rest of the team met and they from what it sounded like through the mind link, they were fighting the main bad guy who was also shooting lasers from some weird looking gun. Classic.
That's when they heard Miss Martian scream and Robin's comm link cut out.
As soon as Aqualad yelled KF's name, he had Artemis in his arms, and they were making their way back to the rest of the team.
Wally saw a moving bundle of Robin's clothes. Seeing as the fight was almost over, he carefully took his friend into his arms, and ran to the door.
'Make sure to bring the gun that shot Robin with you! I'm taking him to the bio ship' He told the rest of the team via mind link.
He didn't wait for Aqualad's affirmative.
He placed his even smaller than normal friend on a chair in the ship, and blinked surprized at the two blue curious eyes staring up at him.
'Do I know you?'
...Freaking de-aging gun...Of-freaking-course.
'Um, yeah! My name is Wally' he introduced himself, while helping little Robin untangle for his too big clothes. He left him only in his shirt, after making sure to un-clasp the heavy cape. He grimaced, when he saw that the domino mask is way to big and is not going to cover Robin's eyes.
'Are you a friend of my parents?' Boy asked, smiling.
Shit. Wally didn't really have any other option but to lie.
'Yes, and since they had to go do something, they asked me to babysit you!' He smiled at the boy's dubious stare.
'If you really know my parents...Then what's my mom's favorite color?' He asked, crossing his little arms over his chest.
Wally's eyes softened, as he smiled at his friend.
'She loves red and green' he answsered and Dick grinned. He passed the test.
'Where are my parents?' he asked.
Here came the 'your parents are awesome superheroes and they went to save the world, while I - also a superhero thankyouverymuch- am left with the glorious task of baby sitting you' excuse. And while Wally wasn't really sure Dick believed it, he seemed satisfied with the answer.
'Listen here Dick. We are going to play a little game together, alright? I am going to put those googles over your eyes and from now on, your name is Robin. My name is Kid Flash. And we are superheroes togheter! But the rules of the game are, no one is allowed to see your eyes, so keep the googles on! And you have to protect your secret identity, so you can't tell anyone your name, okay?'
Wally was worried that so many rules would confuse the child, but Dick was a very bright boy and agreed on the rules.
'What will the winner get?' He asked, adjusting the big, red googles over his eyes.
'The winner will be the king of the world!' Exclaimed Wally happily raising his hands up high, causing Dick to giggle.
At that moment the rest of the team came back, carrying the de-aging gun along.
'Are you allright, Robin?' Asked a very worried M'gann.
Dick only blinked the the green girl, before turning to Wally.
'You weren't lying! You are a super hero!'
The way back to the cave went by quickly. Dick sitting in Wally's lap while Wally showed his what all the buttons on the ship did. At Artemis question via mind link 'Aren't you even a little weirded out by the fact that your best friend got turned into a baby?'
And Wally just looks at her confused. And he sudenly looks like he realised something.
'Ooohh! You guys aren't in the hero buisness that long! I forgot! Yeah, no. Stuff with de-aging happens like, all the time! Like this one time Rob and I had to take care of baby Batman and Flash? Or that time when we both were turned into babies and we spent the entire day with Wonder Woman? Or-'
'Okay. we get it' he gets interuupted by a grumpy Conner.
'Anyway, seeing as you guys have been in the hero buisness for some time now, there is 99,9% chance that you'll get turned into babies at some point. Sorry. That's statistically proven.' he replied still via mind link, at the same time entertaining little Robin.
When they got back it turned out, that Batman is unavaiable at the moment, so Wally went ahead and with the help of Artemis, tried to figure out a way the de-aging gun worked.
Robin of course never left Wally's side. Kid Flash left him with Artemis for literally a second, and came back with a new shirt for Robin (Arty had to smirk at the 'Batman' logo on it) And a stuffed elephant.
Robin seemed to recognize the plushie and after yelling 'Zitka!' and hugging it tightly, didn't allow anyone except Wally to touch it.
Kaldur, M'gann and Conner got the hard job of making food (Rob turned out to be a picky eater, much to Wally's amusment and him whispering 'spoiled brat' as he ruffled boy's hair), while Wally and Artemis worked on the gun, at the same time baby sitting.
Well, Wally did all the baby sitting job really. With him it seemed like taking care of a hyper child (who literally flipped off walls!) and scanning and reverse engineering at the same time, was a piece of cake. Even Artemis was impressed.
Before long it turned out that they only needend one little piece to fix the gun and make Robin his normal age again.
But of course the only place where they could get it was the batcave. As if on cue, Batman called, and ordered for Wally to take the gun and Robin to the batcave immediatly. So Robin make sure to say bye bye to everyone along with kissing everyone on the cheek and waving energically, much to their amusement.
After walking through a portal
'Is it a magical portal Kid Flash?'
'It's even better! It's a SCIENCE PORTAL! Woohoo!'
they found themselves in the batcave.
Wally had taken Robin's googles off at that time, annoucing Dick's victory in their game.
And seeing as Dick was now a king of the world, he got a free piggy back ride, on Wally's shoulders.
They met with Batman, and in no time at all they had Robin back to his usual age.
And then the team called him 'little baby Robie' for 2 weeks after that.

But of course, Wally's statistics are hardly wrong.
And a month after that Superman as Clark has to take care of one happy, flying everywhere Martian,
one fussy, always trying to run off Atlantean,
one hyper bouncing off walls Robin, who managed to convince Artemis to hide in the rafters with him,
and of course one grumpy clone sitting in the corner, crying.
To be honest, Clark would prefer to be on this kryptonite train, mission that everyone else was right now.
He was absolutely out of his element, and had no idea how to calm the children down.
And then the computer annouced 'Kid Flash B03'.
Wally had everything under control in literally 3 minutes.
'M'gann loves her TV shows, so the best way calm her down is to turn it on.
Kaldur is not trying to run off jeez! He just tries to get to the bathroom.' He says as he brings a big bowl filled with water. Little Aqualad sits in it, goes under water a few times, and seems perfectly happy.'
'Robin and Artemis are completely fine on their own, you just need to talk to them, so they won't get bored and run off.
And Supey' he says as he picks the clone up 'Just needs attention and love' and then he hugs the crying boy to his chest.
And little Superboy instantly calms down, clutching to Wally's shirt.'
To say Superman learned something that day, would be an understatement.
And maybe when the clone is back to his 'normal' age...he will take him out for some apple pie.
