Reine || Female || American Shorthair
Reine was a stray kitten that Allistair found while exploring the forest. Having a soft-spot for animals since he basically grew up surrounded by nature, he took the lone kitten in and doted on her a lot. This was sort of how Allistair gained a small sense of responsibility, specifically to his small feline friend. Reine grew up to be a reclusive cat who is very attached to him. She wouldn't let people other than Allistair pet her and would be faithfully by his side. She tolerates his antics and enjoys running around with him whether they are outside or inside. When it comes to other people, she is more or less hostile and would hiss at them should they ever try to smother her. She enjoys curling up by Allistair's side and can be jealous of those who takes his attention away from her.
[ Wand ]
Yew || Dragon Heartstring || 12 1/2 inches || Supple
A wand among the rarer kinds, and their ideal matches are likewise unusual, and occasionally notorious. The witch or wizard best suited to a yew wand might equally prove a fierce protector of others. Where wizards have been buried with wands of yew, the wand generally sprouts into a tree guarding the dead owner’s grave. What is certain, in my experience, is that the yew wand never chooses either a mediocre or a timid owner.

Allistair is a very free-spirited young lad who likes to enjoy life with his friends and family. He is friendly and seeks out new people to talk to, always eager to approach. Whenever he is around people, he tends to get noisy, asserting his ideas and beliefs to anyone who will hear whether they want to or not. However, this rather boisterous attitude can often get on people's nerves. More often than not, he doesn't realize how insensitive he can be, he's just a kid after all.
Hearing heaps of stories about adventures of other individuals, it became natural for Allistair to idolize and imitate them by going on little adventures himself. He is in love with the idea of going to new places and trying out new things, sometimes even poking his nose into other people's business and not thinking of the consequences of doing so. He rarely locks himself in his room, but when he does, it usually means he's trying to hatch up some kind of prank.
Being the imaginative child he is, he easily gets excited about the unknown. Suspicious places don't scare him! He charges into them headfirst. Of course, this doesn't always work out for the young lad as he tends to get into more trouble than his fingers can count. His parents and peers seem to always have a rough time dealing with his hyperactive tendencies and being scolded is already a part of his daily routine. His daring attitude has a tendency to take things to the extreme and often needs someone to become his voice of reason.
While it isn't very obvious because of his constant cheerfulness, Allistair can be quite sensitive and can be easily hurt if you poke the right nerves. Although he tries to be patient, his fuse runs short easily if his friends or interests are made fun of and looked down on. As long as the one being made fun of is only himself, he'd only become depressed but get over it in due time. But if his friends become involved, he immediately steps in to defend them vehemently. He has an air of willfulness and is usually stubborn about getting things to go his way. If he doesn't get his way, he becomes sulky and pout until something else catches his attention. As easy as it is to get him back up on his feet, he is fickle enough with regards to his interests. If something doesn't go his way or if it doesn't provide enough thrill factor for him he'd drop it as soon as a better hobby presents itself accordingly.
His mischievous nature has always been a source of frustration for the people around him. He find the simplest of pranks to be laughable as long as it's not harmful to anyone. Despite this, he never means harm and only engages in harmless pranks as he never wants to cause pain to anyone. A stern scolding would usually get him to behave and he does learn from his mistakes, even if he has to get hit in the face before he realizes them.
Overall, Allistair is a very upbeat young lad who loves to have fun. He is optimistic and always has an eye out for the best outcomes, no matter how dire the situation can be.
[ History ]
Born and raised as an only child, Allistair grew up in a doting and loving environment. His parents were both relatively well-off and managed their household efficiently. Despite being busy most of the time, they always managed to spend time with him and they often bonded by reading him his favorite books. He got along with the few servants in their household, even getting them to play with him and have them cater to his childish antics. His favourite stories when he was a child were the stories about his parents' time as students in Hogwarts. Just hearing stories about the experiences his parents had made him so excited and had him in anticipation for his turn to make his own magical memories at the academy!
Of course, Allistair's parents were happy with how enthusiastic their only son was about being able to use magic and going to Hogwarts, but they also had their own share of issues about muggles who would've loved to discriminate against them if they knew of their pure-blooded heritage, mainly due to the second wizarding war. They knew that trying to keep Allistair from going out until his magical abilities surfaced would be futile, seeing how their son was already very adventurous at a young age, so instead of beating around the bush, they warned him of the possible consequences of his heritage being found out and how dangerous it could be for them. The lad couldn't understand it at first due to his young age, but since he loved his parents dearly, he understood that whatever his parents were warning him from was for his own good and he didn't want them to look pained.
Allistair spent his childhood like any normal magical born kid, going out most of the day on little adventures around their home. Due to his parent's warnings about how dangerous it could be for them, he tried to avoid being too close to other people from outside his family. They lived in a rather secluded area in the outskirts of town, specifically on the other side of the small forest which separated their gated home from the rest of the population. This was to limit sight and contact with the muggles and to have more privacy in their home. He did play with other kids occasionally by purposely going to the other side of the forest, but he spent most of his time playing along in it instead and pretending to be a daring adventurer as he explored areas and collected small items like rocks or pieces of metal that served as 'proof' of adventures he did, much like how adventurers in books gained valuable items throughout their journeys. As his parents trusted their son enough to adhere to their advice, wards against outsiders were only put around their home itself in order to prevent them from poking their nose around their home, but otherwise he himself was free to go out.
It was during one of Allistair's adventures when he met Sophie, a young girl that seemed to be around his age. She was also exploring the same woods he was, but it surprised him that there was another kid that would go around here alone! He was initially suspicious of her because of his parents' warning and subtly tried to avoid her by running away when she was around. Sophie, being persistent, followed him around despite Allistair's protests. His attempts eventually escalated to hiding around the bushes when he heard her footsteps or voice around, but she would always find him, and even surprise him at times! This continued on for days until Allistair grew to enjoy their little informal game of hide and seek, always looking for the best hiding spots in the small woods that served as their playground. Of course, it always ended up with Sophie finding him one way or another. But the two had formed an unusual bond through this and he found this activity as one of highlights of his day.
One day, Allistair injured himself by tripping on a log while he was trying to switch hiding spots. Sophie, being keen about finding him, eventually sees him sitting by the creek and sobbing about the small wound on his knee. Allistair didn't know what to say when she found him and in the state that he was. He instead remained silent as Sophie knelt down to bandage his wound and comfort him. This was the first time that the two actually sit down together for longer than a minute, and also the first time they actually spoke to each other despite basically being together the whole day and playing games. Allistair was still slightly suspicious of her during those times, but this was immediately dispelled by the help and comfort she gave him that day. At the time, Sophie had even offered him candy because her Mama always said candy is the best cure for cuts and bruises. He surely found her weird, but he realized that she wasn't that bad and found friendship in her! Although he did keep this from his parents, because they were rather suspicious of muggles.
They spent the rest of their days playing with each other, with Allistair usually being excited to meet her everyday because it allowed for him to try out the pranks he learned on her! These were harmless pranks, of course. But he couldn't really use it against anyone other than the servants in their household, since he usually ended up with a firm scolding when he did. He found it weird when Sophie just went with his antics, but at the same time, it was very enjoyable for him and she didn't seem to mind.
When he finally received a Hogwarts letter at the age of 11, Allistair felt a bit saddened about having to part with his only friend. He tried to meet her again on the day of his departure, but he couldn't find her. Even though he was excited to finally go to Hogwarts, he felt like it would be boring without having his friend around despite being with many others that are like him. It didn't even occur to him that he'd be this attached, but he had to go anyways since it was his dream to attend the magic school.
Allistair then went to the station, becoming too excited when he passed through the block wall and almost forgetting to actually board. He went around the train enthusiastically to look for a place he can settle in. Opening a door to what seemed like an unoccupied cabin, his eyes widened to see that there was someone else that was already there. But what actually surprised him was that the one sitting in the cabin was none other than his friend, Sophie! Both of them spent a few seconds staring at each other in surprise before they sat next to each other excitedly and chatted away about not knowing the other was a wizard/witch for the rest of the train ride to Hogwarts.
The first school year Allistair had was nothing short of what he expected. Everything was new to him and fun! He found that life with magic was definitely much more enjoyable than a life without one. Despite the boring classes they held indoors, the explorations he did during his free time always made up for the idleness he had to endure during class hours. He wasn't as good as others when it came to written tests as he was bad at memorization and the like, but he proved to be skilled enough when it came to practical activities that allows them to actually learn spells first-hand!
Right now, Allistair doesn't have much of an opinion about muggles. He is more or less neutral of them and doesn't think of them much because he didn't have much contact with them prior to his arrival in Hogwarts. The warnings his parents gave him about engaging too much with muggles didn't serve much to make him actually dislike them despite knowing that they can be hurtful somehow, but it was enough to make him partially avoidant for his parent's ease of mind. He's also heard of muggleborn wizards, but is ignorant of the discrimination that they probably experience in the wizard world.

[ Relationships ]
[ Sophie Saltwater ] Allistair's close childhood friend. They both came from the same hometown and knew each other even before they went to Hogwarts. Their friendship consists of adventures, pranks, and generally fun things that they enjoy doing together. Sophie, who doesn't seem to mind, is usually a victim of his childish pranks as he enjoys her reactions and also because she doesn't get angry at him for being himself. He may seem careless with her because of this but when it comes down to it, he is very protective of her and can be quite possessive.
