Description
This is an old fashioned malt shop in Stillwater, MN. I started it in Oct. and worked on it off and on untill now.Leo's is part of my "Small Town Treasures Series"
Done with Prisma colored pencils.
16X20 on illustration board
Colors used:
-violet
-copenhagen blue
-ultramaring
-dark green
-indigo blue
-sunburst yellow
-sky blue light
-grass green
-crimson red
-goldenrod
-canary yellow
-black grape
-white
-black
Really just 14 differnt colors, i just mix and blend a whole lot.
Other Supplies used:
acrylic artists ink
q-tips
a black pen (uni-ball vision elite, you can get it at target)
Blending stumps
Prismacolor colorless pencil
razer
hair dryer
a big feather
And a ruler

I'm attracted to the corner of the piece, and one person standing on each side of the corner. There is a separation. Two separate paths to be walked. Indeed your use of color is amazing, but the placement of those two ladies makes the piece for me.

Pretty artwork! I love the composition and the way the colors are reflected on the ground. This is a malt shop I'd like to visit. Ummm so inviting! Great job.

I love the colours and the details - especially the bricks - it's amazing how detailed are the walls of the buildings!
I just wonder: What did you use feather for?
Oh and I guess there is a mistake in the description - shouldn't it be hair DRYER instead of hair DYER ?

I can't beleive I put "hair Dyer" LOL, now poeple will think I use hair dye on my pics. Stupid auto correct, LOL. Thank you for pointing that out to me
