Oh my gosh, your talented. Hey boss, look I found someone with talent. You did? Yeah, the first one today, where I have honestly nothing to say. Oh my gosh, look at that. She almost paints as well as your mother. No one paints as good as my mother did. Eh, great stuff you have here. Dialogue set aside.
I've seen this style before, not to original. But your coloring, balance, and well its just a good picture. Its visually pleasing and upbeat. (eww, i used the word upbeat) And I hate to said detail here is brilliant.
Above all else I believe I am going to watch you, do to these paintings. Oh yea, I like emotional works and it means more when the artist puts alot of themselves in there work. To make your work more meaningful, put yourself onto the canvas.

I confess that my work goes between academic and emotional. I feel both elements are important, and it is sometimes beneficial if I focus on one or the other in a painting.
I try to remain true to myself, reguardless, and even paintings like this, which do not focus on emotional impact are part of my experience. Memory and environment play major roles. This is not a postcard sunset, this is my night downtown.

Thanks! I've been working on scenery a lot lately. I had to push myself out of the hole of only doing characters/people with simple or no backgrounds. Yah know?

Absolutly gorgeous - there's such a nice "feel" to this despite the fact that its quite loose in terms of detail. I commend you highly for it - why this dosen't have more +favs is beyond me, So allow me to try and rectify that problem *adds to favs*
