oh yeah, i've seen that series. also the Dogs 101. i noticed the description online said they were cats that always want to be with you - not good for cats you might want to leave at home for a couple of days at a time occasionally :/

i spent about a week looking on craigslist - this one happened to be for free, but i was willing to pay up to $20 "rehoming" fee. our last kitten came from the humane society, and was fixed, had most of his shots, and had already been microchipped - also a great deal for whatever it was we paid at the time - but their kittens seem to always be older than this 7 week old one.

When I took in that litter of kittens 3 years ago I found out that Pet Co, etc... by law can't adopt out until they're at least 8 weeks so that's probably why. It is nice having them all ready to go like that from the humane society but it's so fun to get a young kit too. Yours is especially cute!

I tend to get a few strays who come by to eat my cat's dry food, we have a cat hoarder on the next street and I suspect another close by also. Anyway one day I saw a new cat who looked suspiciously large and sure enough a month later she'd had 6 kittens in my friend's garage. I told her to bring them all over and I watched after them until the kittens were 8 weeks, old enough to go to a rescue group. I did keep the mother, who I immediately had spayed, and 1 of the kits though. It was such a ball having the kittens here, a lot of work but so many laughs I'd love to have nothing but kittens all the time! It is very heart wrenching to give them up though...

lol... that's like when i lived in the mountain wilderness, no neighbors for miles except for vacation homes, and the first time i met one of the weekend neighbors was when she brought a photo of my dog pooping in her 1 acre yard - to the homeowners ass. to complain. i was embarrassed, yes, but we have bears, coyotes, foxes, raccoons, weasels, porcupines, mountain lions, bobcats, moose, elk, deer and geese pooping everywhere too!
funny thing is, she eventually became a pretty good friend of ours - we still talk about once a year even though we've moved.
