Description
Continuing my work on updating Christina Rossetti's 'Goblin Market', I thought I'd have a go at designing some other-worldly, goblinesque fruit to 'entice' the girls of the story. Obviously, these particular specimens aren't terribly appetising nor appealing, but it's what they really look like under the glamour the Goblins put on them.My friend has labelled the Angler Fruit 'Vore Fruit'. Because he is a pervert.

I think 'splendid' might be my favourite word. It conveys so much that is positive and pleasing and it's root is in the latin Splendidus... which means... Shiny!

Thanks, BAS! I'm not entirely sure if these'll even make it into the final images of the project but they were fun to imagine and I'm sure I could find use for them elsewhere. Fruit mustn't go to waste!

You can just taste it, can't you? The succulent ripe flesh, so pliant and squishy, full like a pinkish-greenish water balloon with juice not unlike that found within coconuts, only even better...
