Festering away in damp, lightless caves, a species of Goblin can be found that favours a lifestyle even the most listless, luckless, socially deplorable common orc-folk would consider far beneath them. Mostly referred to as 'Rot Goblins' or 'Rotlings', these hideous, pale, malformed creatures live in the kind of squallourous conditions that would shame a dire-rat. Their milky, translucently thin skin is mottled with the vestiges of living decay. Moulds produced within their unthinkable crevices give way to the fruiting bodies of fungi, often deadly poisonous, that can grow to physically crippling sizes. The constant inhalation of spores coupled with generations of inbreeding produces offspring with violently varied mutations, from grotesquely engorged extremities to encephalitic, bulging skulls, club feet and cleft palates, even to extra (though often vestigial) limbs. Their eyes are sharp, despite the dark, and they are terrifyingly voracious hunters and feeders, often cannibalising other, weaker tribes they may come across while venturing outside the caves at night. Dead bats, bat droppings and fungi make up the rest of the Rot Goblin diet; most other living things will do whatever they can to not share space with them.
