FINALLY. It's 5 in the morning. Sorry for the lame title, but I can't think of anything better right now.EDIT: I edited the title, it still sounds a bit lame but at least it says something about the drawing.^^
This is one of those 10 free sketches I promised people almost two years ago! What, did you think that I had forgotten about them? Well, perhaps I had... a bit...
Anyway, two of them are done now, only eight to go! XD
This is 's character, Rejlan, who's attacking two of my alien lizards, Zakir and Marash. Because they... stole that shining cube or something, I don't know. Anyway, this drawing took forever! As you can see on the lame background I didn't intend to spend as much time coloring it as I did, (it was after all supposed to be a free sketch) but a new guy at school showed me a new way to use the hard brush when coloring. Earlier I've always used the soft brush, and mostly it doesn't give the effect I'm looking for.
I'm really happy with it! I'll definitely use this technique more.

The new shading method really works awesome here - especially on the dinos faces - makes them look more 3 dimensional.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to use it in the future. My reaction when that guy showed me how to use it was "Pffffbbbht, this is silly, this looks like absolute... oh... it looks kinda good, actually."

Niiice! So glad you like it, Rejlan was really fun to draw XD I skipped out his more animalistic features, hope that's okay. But he still have his pounce ability!
Ah, so we're pretty much in the same boat there, I've just done 2 so there's still many fine people who are waiting for their free sketches... But no worries, there's no hurry! Except for me because I wrote in a journal that I will have them all done in a month...^^'

Well I still have six sketches to go... out of which two have 'presketches' ready so I'm trying to be optimistic about that (but not to optimistic). We will see how will I do... OK, now when I'm thinking about it I'm not optimistic at all any more o_o

Well, yeah, I kind of feel the same all of a sudden... I have a heap of schoolwork + other IRL life things to do, so it's hard to be optimistic. But I guess the key is to just do them one at a time not think "holy cow I have 8 left to do" because then I'd despair...
