Colored version of my Mother's day drawing. Colored with faber castel colored pencils. I can't make it look like the drawing, but meh.. It's close enough I guess :/

This is my mother's day picture for my mom.

At our sacrament meeting today, one of our sister missionaries held a beautiful speech about an experience she had with her mother. Also, she spoke of four groups of mothers. The Forgotten. The remembered. The Loved. The blessed.
The forgotten is the mother whose kids never really visit or call her anymore. The remembered is the mother you talk to once in a while, but you don't really see each other that often. The loved mother is the mother whose kids come to see her and talk to her every so often and doing things together. The blessed mother is the mother whose kids still see her, love her, have fun with her, talk with her, helps her out whenever there is a need.

There were a lot more to it than this, but I don't remember it very well. This speech inspired me to draw this drawing. She is a loved and blessed mother, she is blessed by the Lord and the heavens hold a sacred place for her. This is to show my mother what I think of her. That I love her and that she is the world to me. She is the loved and blessed mother.

I don't know how to scan with colors, because the colors will look washed out, so I'll just leave the lineart here.

Now is the time to show your mothers what they mean to you. Maybe it's time to visit her, think of her, help her. Your mothers have done so much for you, though it might look like nothing, but the things she does is things you don't really have to do until you move out.
