I've been doing alright, just trying to balance school, Inktober, and what few commissions I have (though now I've finished another one I only have one in the pipeline, but I have to set some specific time aside for it amidst my homework and other obligations).
I would love to come back for Festinord next year, but that entirely depends on whether a) I can afford the plane ticket plus registration, b) I can find/afford a place to stay before and maybe a little after? (I think Beatrice was talking about me staying at her place for a week beforehand and then we'd drive to Festinord together, or that was the grand master plan we came up with on gala night), and c) whether I can get the time off to do so (if going with Beatrice's plan, I'd need two weeks, and being a new employee anywhere in the US it might not be super easy to get that kind of vacation time).

I haven't really done anything since the last comment, myself. I've just been bummed more and more out thanks to cold weather and depression :/
Yikes. That sounds super hard for you. I hope for you you can find the time. It would be awesome~ I don't think I'm going anyway.. I've only saved up about half of the money, I only have five or six more months and I don't have a job and I think I'll have to go to the dentist. I think my fillings have started to crumple or something. They're like... 8 years old or something :/ So I'll have to pay that instead...
It sounds tough for you. Isn't it hard balancing so many things at once? I don't think I would be able to handle it D:
Well... I hope you can get the two weeks off so you can go to Beatrice. I think it was her plan to let you stay and have fun with you, as you said. We've been talking over skype, and she's still super hyped for us/you to come stay at her place (:

Oh no. D: I wish you luck in regards to your winter depression.
I've actually finished school and graduated now, so somehow I managed to balance everything - sometimes though, I wonder just how I did it.
The big challenge in getting the time off would be largely dependent on where I end up working now that I'm finished with school. If I get a government job like my grandparents want, apparently I would most likely have weekends off and get up to 30 days of vacation - but I might need to use some of those to travel throughout the US to different conventions for selling my art (my friend and I have applied to one all the way on the other side of the US, but other than that thankfully the others I've applied to are just a state or two away. Still, that would call for a bit of travel time there and back). That and my grandma's a bit scared to go to Europe now, and might discourage me from going. We'll see, though. If I'm determined and can find a way, I'm sure there'll be an opportunity for me to go back.
Maybe we should exchange Skype info over notes or something? That might be a bit easier for communication than commenting back and forth on dA.
