I'll be doing a colour tutorial soon if that helps. ^^
I do the typical shading on a multiply layer starting with a base colour then shading with lighter and darker tones depending on where the light source is. Then I give it a slightly metallic/silky effect by using an addition layer on top.

I'm still trying to figure out why her flame is green.
By the way, can you tell me what kind of firebending abilities she has, what can she do?

Her flame is green because it is like blue and yellow mixing. (her fire has always been slightly hotter and predominantly yellow as a child but not hot enough for it to be blue)
When she was a child she noticed green sparks coming from her fire and so she focused on that to turn it green and so into her signature flame. I hope that makes sense for you.
She is a highly talented fire bender a prodigy in fact. She also includes certain earth bending forms in her bending.
She has also been trained in sword fighting, archery and knife throwing. So she is highly skilled.

I love the lighting here. you could try a darker background, it maybe help to boost up your lighting effect.

Thanks very much! I actually did that in the first place. But didn't like the way the fire turned out (when I did it) with the white bits in it. But when you did it it seemed okay! Thanks again I'll try it out!
