Description It's finally done! My trade with Draggycat! Took a while because of tests and such.

About 13 inches long (meant it to be bigger, SORRY DRAGGY) about the size of the Kosen-type plushes. He is made of faux fur I sewed together in the pattern, and has some aluminum wire in his legs for support. I used several picture references for the resemblance, and I did intentionally give him shorter legs than most of my wolves, and longer hair around the neck and back.

Hi there, each piece is a unique artwork with its own pattern but there are lots of tutorials that can help you make your own works to start

Free Plushie Patterns Online
Here's a collection of links to sites outside of DeviantArt where you can find free plushie patterns. There are well over two hundred choices, so you're sure to find something you like.
However, if you can't find exactly what you're looking for, try adapting one of the patterns. For example, a tiger can easily be turned into a lion, an elephant into a woolly mammoth, an elf into a goblin, or combine the upper half of a mermaid with the lower half of a pony to get a centaur.
Note: some pages may need to be translated or require sign-up to view free patterns.

I was just paid last night but its not all the money is there any way you could like hold off on my commission till August? You see ill be 18 on the 26 of August and ill get over 300$ for it right now I only have 100$ I still want the wolf. I just don't have the 275$ for it right now. But if you can't hold off till then I have to sell a few things ( UN related to this site in all ) anyway so im hoping that ill get a high price for them. And ill have the money by idk exactly. Maybe end of January. Please tell me your thoughts . Thank you so much for your time and patience.

I can't hold your spot until August since I've had so many people ask me for a commission on such and such a month and then forget, but you can ask for the same commission again within a month. I can do it now in Jan and hold your spot too do it depends.

kunzya In reply to WolfknightlordJ [2012-01-02 00:14:52 +0000 UTC]

Could I give up my spot and ask you again when I get the full amount of money? Is that possible?

That's fine. Don't worry about it. Make note when you do and I'll get to your wolf.

[link] has all the relevant information.

Unfortunately due to their complexity, I would likely charge 275 USD for a plush of similar appearance to this one.

kunzya In reply to WolfknightlordJ [2011-12-27 19:15:40 +0000 UTC]

The price is fine ill pay it. How big could I get it? Like what's the largest size you can do?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WolfknightlordJ In reply to kunzya [2011-12-28 01:51:06 +0000 UTC]

I only make them in one size because I do hand-sewing. They are about 12 inches long by 9 inches tall excluding the tail and ears.

I can reserve your place on new years, and I can get started soon. It should be done within the month (I no longer have this one.)

WolfknightlordJ In reply to kunzya [2011-12-31 17:51:47 +0000 UTC]

It will take a while for me to make a new one from scratch, since this individual toy has been sold. Yours may also look different because I have to redraw the pattern.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kunzya In reply to WolfknightlordJ [2011-12-31 18:24:33 +0000 UTC]

How different? May I see the drawing when you do it? And by chance can I have the eyes the same color as mine?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WolfknightlordJ In reply to kunzya [2011-12-31 18:28:09 +0000 UTC]

I don't know, it should be pretty close, but not exact. Are your eyes blue or grey? The metallic gold eyes look better than the colored eyes to me.

The pattern won't say much about the finished product since most of it is in 3 dimensions, but I draw my patterns very similar.

That's fine, I usually ask for payment when I am finished. I have two small trades to finish and one commission ahead of you, but it shouldn't take long. Yours may take a while, but I'll notify you first.

Gold, actually. I used to use a sort of light, flat yellow, but I got iridescent gold eyes, which look much more realistic on a small scale.

AHHH!!! Look at this little beaut!!!! You SOOOO dood it again!!! X) X) X) Ahh you gorgeous talent you... There's so many reasons I love this wolf's appearance that I see so diligently captured!! I LURVE that you noticed their square muzzles and thick round teddy-like ears. So cause it gives them the most gentle expression of all wolves IMO! x3 As do their wide cheeks and big shaggy mane. Beeaaautiful work sculpting those cheeks! They look so delicately done. That squat and grizzly body is nothing but Mexie alright!!! 8D All around amazing job as usual. I'm impressed that it has wiring in it. I've practically given up on that stuff, it keeps breaking for me. ;_; (You use a certain kind or brand I wonder?)

Anywho, I've aspired to make a Mexican wolf ever since I learned I could make plushies and I think I'm finally just inspired enough to tryyyyyy. Wish me luck equalling up? xD It'll probably be gigantic too just cause I adore them. x) Oh and PSSHHH NO PROBLEM about the size!! My shelf space is choked as it is and at this scale he should fit right next to Foxy where he belongs.

THANKS VERY VERY MUCH AGAIN FOR TRADING WIF MEH! Let it be written I shall whelp thy young that he may keep the tradition of wolf-plushing excellence alive well after thy demise! LET YOUR TALENT NEVAR DIE!!!

Oh and work on your plushie hath commenced yesterday, just a few days late. xP Should surprise nobody. But I rather like how its coming so far albeit early in stage. ^_^

WolfknightlordJ In reply to SaritysAnimation [2011-09-30 15:13:43 +0000 UTC]

I actually think that the blunted muzzle is kind of a wolf thing. The other species of Canis seem to have more narrow, pointed muzzles that are not broad from the front, but even small wolves like Arabic and Mexican wolves have that blunted, square muzzle.

WolfknightlordJ In reply to SaritysAnimation [2011-09-30 14:48:22 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much! I tried to make a good likeness to the photo. I was lucky enough to see one in the wild some years ago, and I remember thinking about how red it was, and how beautiful its silver mane was, as both of those are striking for a wolf. I also saw one in a zoo years later, and it was strange how...short it was. No bigger than my retriever-mix. I had trouble getting the legs the right length, since they are shorter than a normal wolf's, but not short short.

I am sure you can do it! And yours will be cuter and more pillow-like XD.

Thank you, don't be in any hurry, I just wanted to finish this up because I had a RARE freeish week to work on all my stuff.

ZOMG this is astoundingly amazing.

What's your process? You make all your own patterns, yes?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WolfknightlordJ In reply to the-carolyn-michelle [2011-09-30 14:45:00 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I make all of my own patterns. I use a few photo references and if I'm unfamiliar with the species, I do a few concept sketches first before I do the final pattern.

I then sketch the pattern depending on the species on all of it's 3d vertices, which may be different depending on the species.
