Description I realised how long it'd been since I'd drawn my favourite little Dorfie.

Well, here she is again. More Josie, rejoice, if that's your thing! I wanted to mix her outfit up a bit, since the skirt/blouse combo get's drawn too much. This... I like to think of this as her 'Getting shit done' outfit. Swapped out the skirt for some loose fit trousers, so she's not as likely to trip, and put on some gloves to keep her hands safe. Still got the delightful bustle and headband, and, unusually for her, a pair of sandals. Josie only owns two pairs of footwear; a pair of soft suede boots for when it gets really cold, and a pair of ridiculously well worn, super-soft -almost form fitting- leather sandals, as here.

Anyway. Enjoy, guys.

PS. I FUCKING LOVE DRAWING FABRIC.

I think the work you did on the clothing here is just fantastic... and I'm impressed not only by the fabric, but by that "crochet" (I'm not sure this is the right term) collar of her shirt. And the most impressive thing is this looks like it was sketched pretty fast, while being actually extremely complex.
I love her pose btw, so firm yet relaxed, and her facial expression.
Oh, and her feet... well I think there's no need for me to comment them XD

Well thanks! I do love a bit of clothing. Probably should have done fashion design at college, instead of graphic design. ANYWAY.

I think you're referring to the ruffled bits of her outfit, they're actually quite easy to draw, it's just a matter of wiggly lines and filling in gaps to form shapes. The drawing as a whole was fairly quick, yes. That's why I work with sketches so much these days, they're just easier, quicker. I do have a massive complex about detail though. I find it quite therapeutic, especially all the folds and falls and patterns in fabric, and hair, I guess, too.

And well, the feet? What can I say, that's always been a bizarre, built in talent of mine That said, I think they're looking a little 'flat' here. The insteps are rather low.

Beautiful! You're quite talented - especially with clothing; I myself, loathe drawing clothes (which is why most of my OCs are usually nude).

Why thank you! It's nice of you to say so.

I guess the whole skill with clothing thing is just because I like drawing it so much. You're more inclined to learn about and practice at something you like.

Her outfit is so cool! I really how you made the fabric stretch/fold everywhereΒ

Thank you!

And as for the fabric; that's what hours of obsessive practice gets you!

No way!? That's not an instant-magic-skill you were given at birth?!Β  Β
My world just collapsed.

Oh, if it's instant 'at-birth' skills you want, then my ability to draw feet, now that's something I just 'have' I don't even know how or why, but yeah; I've always been able to do that.

That's definitely not my case x)
It's pretty cool though! I wouldn't have thought something as complex as feet could come naturally, but we all learn differently, right?
I guess my strength is more in expressions. I've always been fascinated by people's faces

Faces are sort of my weakpoint, actually. A lot of these drawings suffer from 'sameface syndrome'. Never mind~
