This makes my smoking-Snape-headcanon mind so happy. The snakey-smoke is such a clever touch too. I kind of agree with Gryffgirl that maybe wizard cigarrettes are not bad, but I can see him being self-destructive enough to just chain smoke plain ol´nasty muggle tobacco

I can totally see him with Muggle cigarettes as well. And his magic is strong enough to draw a snakey-smoke out of Muggle cigs. Even not consciously.

he sort of has the typical profile of a chain smoker, in my opinion. And is not like JKR had a problem with admiting her characters smoke, so it´s likely;

I'm presuming that wizard cigarettes can be enjoyed without causing cancer! I love how the hand holding the cigarette is relaxed, while the other fist is clenched. I tend to believe that even in a "relaxed" state, Severus was never 100% at rest. That serpent smoke is genius!
