When did all this happen? I look away for a second and suddenly there are a gazillion new and awesome pictures.
So far I've only had a quick glance at your and Em's gallery and I sunk deeper in my seat every second.
Now, to the actual comment
This is (aside from it being executed so amazingly!) very sad and powerful.
His seems so restless and tortured by his own mind. It's easy to see the pain one seemingly small, bad decision can cause.
"Had I known" and "If only" must be the most terrible words when put together.
And there's nothing to be done, but try to redeem himself. And knowing what's to happen in the end. There cannot be a happy ending for somebody who took the worst path in a moment of weakness.
the pondering he does might be a dark omen of the times ahead. If everything would turn out okay, why would it torture him that much?
I think, you captured the sorrow, regret, anger and however the tiny bit of hope, that is always there and dies only with him, perfectly!

I read the books many years ago, so I can't remember if he actually had a tattoo or not, but the skull on his lower arm looks odd to me .

Beautiful and poignant image. I really love how at first it looks like he's just staring into space, but then you can also see it's directly at his dark mark. That sad look of remorse, anger, and disgust, is really heartbreaking. Great dark rough feel and line treatment of dat lovely subject
