I like how you managed to achieve this without a ridiculous amount of detail.
It's what bothers me every time I make an attempt at photorealism in my drawings =.="

This is a particularly impressive and imaginative piece of work. The colour tones are pretty-much awesome and I like the surreal element that is created by the use of reflections instead of the objects themselves. Good stuff, this is.

Thank you! I like to think of it as a sort of dematerialisation of the real world, or maybe a double one as a painting of any two dimentional image already is a dematerialisation of reality

That's an interesting point of view, and one that I can understand: anyway, when a painter is as accomplished as you appear to be, you can call it a small Atlantic salmon fish and people would agree.
Also, you're welcome.

Astonishing. What I love most is that it manifests some elements of the cars in your Parking deviation. Details like these really bring paintings to life.

Thank you!
This is on paper and you can see here that transitions don't work that well on paper. This was the best I could get it.

But... what do you mean by transitions..?

vijujako In reply to TAHOpaints [2007-09-16 12:37:51 +0000 UTC]
The transitions from a color to another, like the dark blue to the lighter blue on the hood of the car in this painting.

whoah, this looks great!
I think the "fast" painting method works great here, it actually correlates with the changing and fluid nature of the reflection on the car. Absolutely a great job on this.

Hey great painting again !
really great understanding of compostional structures and also really good example of how the camera abstracts an image with its objective lens, the image looks very familiar but slightly wrong due to the captured reflections & the distortions it has rendered, very Richard Estes, thats a big compliment !!!

I love it! It looks both real and abstract at the same time. ^^
