A New Species Pokemon. This rare Pokemon is hardly ever seen by human eyes. It is said to hold genetic composition of all Legendary Pokemon, and as such, is able to use any Pokemon move and even transform into other Pokemon. Mew shows signs of intelligence and playfulness, but is also highly adaptable, able to float freely through air and water. Very few people have ever encountered Mew and been able to prove it, but because of its mythical status, it is a great subject of research.

In the Super Smash Bros series, Mew's appearance from the Poke Ball and Master Ball is unbelievably rare, floating away upon its appearance. In Brawl and Wii U, it would drop CDs while floating away (though if all music is collected, it drops a Sticker instead).

Mew is a Support Pokemon in Pokken Tournament DX, and uses Miraculous Power.

Mew is playable in Pokemon Unite.
