An Egg Pokemon, Chansey is very kind-hearted, sharing its eggs with people and Pokemon alike (except for those with evil intentions). Referred to as "Doctors' Doubles," Chansey's egg is a rare delicacy used in cooking that becomes tastier when it's raised with love and care. Due to over-harvesting of the eggs, however, Chansey have become even rarer in the wild, and are said to bring good luck to those who catch one. Chansey are fast on their feet to avoid poachers seeking its egg, and will often heal injured trainers or Pokemon lost in the wild. Chansey evolves from Happiny while holding an Oval Stone during the Day, and into Blissey with high friendship, and they are the only known Pokemon that can naturally learn Soft-Boiled.
Chansey appears in Super Smash Bros. [64] and Melee from the Poke Ball, and uses Soft-Boiled, sharing its eggs with other Fighters, each containing a different item (or exploding when thrown). It also appears in the Saffron City Stage, sharing one egg with the Fighters.
Chansey is playable in Pokemon Unite, evolving into Blissey.
