damn! I'd written a long critique here and it's all gone now!
well, briefly;
I had mine in monochrome as well, and it certainly is nearly impossible to get this to show more colours through Apophysis. However, I think it still looks pretty nifty with just one colour, since this way, the glow is more accentuated. If you're sure you want more colours though, I can suggest using a colour mask (or perhaps even multiple masks)in Photoshop for that. It's just not worth the effort to get more colours with so many transforms and tricky weights in Apophysis.
I love the wavy lines here, they give life and movement to the piece, along with the glow.
As for the composition, it all looks right to me, apart from the very bottom, where it glows the most. It's not bad at all, I just wonder how it would look if the glow was more evenly distributed, but I'm not even sure if it would be better than this. You could still try and see if that's possible though
hope you find that constructive and advanced enough

Awesome the sheer light in this flame! Nice touch with the gradient that lets it shine so well.

this is great, but yeah, i agree, if you couldda got some more rainbow gradient in there or more colors it wouldda been a lot better.
heres something i've had work to fix symmettry, might or might not work here. add a very small bit of linear (like .01) to each transform, and it should help a bit.

Wow. I like how you've made it very radiant and just absolutely glowing. All the lines and curves here really seem to work together here.
I'm not exactly sure how you could've gotten multiple colors to work on a fractal like this. Personally, I think the monochromatic absolutely works here, becuase it make the entire thing just glow.

I like this...in my warped sense of mind I see one of the transformers in this...or some sort of robot...again it kicks ass

you know if you flip it upside down you'd have a perfect ice angel... i love it by the way. the piece glows up at you.

I was just thinking "i love the colors" when you said you didn't, lol,. Seriously, though, I love the soft glowyness (which is totally a word now) of the whole thing. it's like waving a light at a long-exposure camera at night.

okay, i see what you're saying. and as i look at it today, some more (subtle) color would be nice, too.

I was about to say this is incredible similar to *banana-tree 's latest submission, then I read your comments.
Excellent work, looks very ethereal and celestial.
