Description
The United Earth Confederation Marine Corps! Humanity's advance guard. Lightly armored--with flack and metal-weave fabric armor--and heavily armed--rifles with all sorts of customized attachments--the Marines are an offensively-oriented force. They focus on speed, mobility, and the ability to deliver quick a knockout-out strike. They do this ath the personal, tactical, and strategic leveles.Like the Surface Infantry, the Marines have thier own heavy weapons and mechanized support. But with the Marines, tanks and infantry are fully integrated into the regular forces. Every man is still a rifleman at heart. Its just that sometimes they are assigned a really big rifle...
...The hoods. The hoods are metal-weave with a little flack in them, and they do keep the Marines sheltered from the rain...But they're mostly for show. There is is something about a mass of hooded soldiers. It implies discipline, skill, and superiority. And that inspires fear. And that can be a very useful weapon. (And recruiting tool.)
Just fleshing out the Human forces of the Legacy-Verse. Or at least giving myself a reference so I can better draw my little corner of it.

Oh, there will definately be more of these. (Even if just at a scale-figure level) I drew this as a reference, so they would have some consistancy when I draw them.

Fear is always a good weapon. With it you can win a fight without fighting. Great designs, they look like futuristic Rangers.

I like the outfits and the weapons you've drawn here. I just hope you have all the necessary penetration charts for them ready! 
One thing, the way the male has his rifle slung - seems like that would get caught on things too easily.

In the pouches? Ammo, special armor pierceing ammo, communications equipment, infrared visors, snacks, 24th century ipods... You name it! As for the guy's rifle....Hmm, maybe thier walking through some grasslands.
