Just messing around in the Legacy universe created byPresenting: the Single Soldier Advance Phalanx weapons system. Also simply called SSAP armor by the soldiers who use it. Designed for heavy sniping missions by individual Human/Alaereen strike forces, deep into hostile territory. The Alaerin caries a long-range high-powered laser cannon as her main weapon. She also carries several body-mounted anti-personel weapons, independently manned by her human crew. (...Yeah, Alaereen are big...) When used as designed, the Alaerin fires at the main target from the prone position, allowing gunners on her leg, shoulder, and back to provide suppressive fire. As the old Spartans used to say regarding their phalanx, they would protect her 'from thigh to neck.'
I may have messed up the Human-to-Alaerin scale, I'm not good enough at drawing tech-stuff to make those attached turrets look functional, and really, this whole idea is laughably implausible.......But this a textpook case for applying the Rule of Cool (tm) [link] So I am going with it!

The idea may be implausible, but it's been thrown around a lot. XD Use on a space armor was the #1 thing we had, and Shaz had the idea of crewing one of these with Viana instead of humans, which would certainly make it less cumbersome.
Overall, it's an idea I actually kinda like, and I'm sure there's somewhere we can go with it. ^^

Viana. Those are the new really small aliens, right? You could probably transport a whole company of them....
...There are definately better ways of conducting combined armed operations, but this would certainly make for some moments of slightly-too-close-knit squad comrodery. I think I sketched this mostly so I could sketch that group shot...

*nods* The idea Shaz had was to actually have a special suit for the Alarian that fit a Viana ship that transformed into....well, yeah. XD
And I think it was worth it to get that drawn. ^_^
And with Viana measuring in at an average four inches, I have debated the idea of having Alarians act as their transport in various manners. From battlefield applications to An Alarian strapping on a bus and hopping on her bike to act as cross town taxi service.

Depends on what sort of city we're talking about too. XD The idea of how a city designed to accommodate races of such widely varying sizes has been tossed around, as you can imagine.
But yeah, within A Vianan city an Alarian could be public transport just by picking things up and putting them down somewhere else. >.>

Well, that was referring to this particular idea. Strapping a turret to the side of her leg, and whatnot.
