Please see my journal for details! [link] Anyhows, this is Baiken of Guilty Gear XX, in one of her alternate costumes, my favorite actually.
Well, actually it's not really an alternate, but it's an outfit worn by her in an art drawing painting thing you can win after beating the game with her on some level of diffculty. XD; I forgot how.. I actually never won it, but my friend showed it to me.. ok anyway, I 
Baiken, and I this outfit, I even cosplayed it. ;D Oh, but she doesn't have the fishnets in the original pic, I added that on my own cuz I thought it looked cool. XD;
And I know the claw prolly looks bad... but I was just having fun trying out a little perspective, and I don't draw weapons that often either so yeah.. even if it does look bad, I'm pretty happy about it actually. XD; And her the sword blade looks a little weird too I know.
I really like how the coloring on her hair and outfit came out! Especially her sleeves and boots! I only wish I had red ink.. then I could have used it for the blood on her sword and such... and maybe for the BG too... but it came out ok enough. ^^
Anyhoo, I hope you all like this... since I do at the moment for whatever reason suprisingly. XD;
Done with prisma colored pencils, copic marker airbrushing, and black ink

lol I love May X3 when I was in 5th grade and PS2 less the older guys would pick on me. She was the character I picked when they made me play and I button mashed like crazy~ somehow I got the whale out almost every time and kicked their arses XD
Other than that I like playing Baiken or Millia...I wanna try using the other characters now that I have the game ^^

And forgive my retardation, but I'm so bad with technique terms... when I think of burnishing I just think of polishing, maybe from the metalwork class I was in for a while. XD; Is there another way to word your question?

Hmm...burnishing is a pencil technique where you use heavy pressure to apply a colour, then use heavier pressure overtop of it with a white pencil, then use heaviest pressure to reapply new colours on top. The technique rubs out the tooth of the paper, and makes for a very heavily saturated colour, and slick surface. Neat technique, I don't see many people using it.

Ahhh ok, then I think I use a very similar technique. ^^ It really depends what colors I'm blending, but I do usually use a mixture of the clear blending pencil and the white pencil. ^^ It's funny because I really admire people who use the pencils lightly and blend colors that way... yet I've never really tried that technique myself, as I also like the smooth less pencil textured look that I get.
