Description Balance was my entry for the international Dabida-award, theme: balance (lol).
She got the second prize! So I don't have to tell you how proud I am!

Balance is a full sculpt (premier clay=airdrying). Her hair is Tibetan lamb in which I sewed some embroidery silk and old glass beads. Her top is silk with the same glass beads she has in her hair. The 'buttons' on her trousers are little Swarovsky crystals. Balance is fully handpainted. The base is soap-stone, plastiform (wood compound) and painted in the same color as her trousers.
She balances a quarz pendulum above a quarz bowl.

I tried to work up as many ways of the theme I could, such as pose, complementary colors, massive/transparant, round/point, sensuality/spirituality, light/dark.

Thank you so much! I really want to work on some realistic pieces, but I've been so busy I haven't even had time to work on anything. I've got a lot of ideas worked up in my head though, one of these days I'll get to it.
