"Yup Auntie Shia! I want to learn more about magic, but that's not the only reason. I want to go to Magnostadt and see if it's really connected to "that" organization..."

"I see...And I can see the conviction in your eyes--Good. I'm glad that you're leaving to see and understand more of the world. If you had decided to stay here any longer than you already have, you would've eventually become blinded by his radiance."

"Auntie...is that why you leave Sindria all the time? Even though you both love each other?"

"--It's because I love him that I leave. I wouldn't be much help to Sin if I'm engulfed in his light because... if I spend too much time in his light, I'll lose sight of my own. I know what I have to do, and it's better if I can see his radiance from a distance, as opposed to being blinded underneath it. Don't worry Aladdin-- we both know the paths that we have to take. But no matter what, I will always stand beside him, because I believe that he can make our dream a reality. And it's up to you Aladdin-- after you experience all of these adventures, after you learn more about this world-- whether or not you will support our dream. But until then, promise me you'll see the world with your own eyes, just as we have!"

AND LET ME TELL YOU...It's one thing to actually have an art style that fluctuates every so often...but it's another to just randomly try to draw another person's art style!!! I don't know how people do it! hahah--I admit, I cheated with Aladdin as I literally pulled him out and traced him from a screenshot I found online, but having to draw Shia in Magi style as opposed to my own was a bigger challenge than I imagined! I'm glad how she turned out though...it's like she's literally in the story...which makes me super happy!

A LITTLE Q&A ON THE SCENE (which reveals more of Shia's personality and her relationship to Sinbad, in case y'alls are interested LOL):

Q:What's Shia's relation to Aladdin?
A: Shia first meets Aladdin during the Balbadd Arc during the first Fog Troupe attack on the palace. Other than fighting alongside the group, the only time she really got to talk to Aladdin was at the end of the arc, ironically finally being able to properly introduce herself right as she prepares to leave for her diplomatic duties that she left unattended to come here. Because of her maternal personality, she falls in love with Aladdin and expresses how adorable he is as she glomps him, wishing that she could adopt him as her own. She looks at Alibaba, Morgiana and Aladdin and says that despite only knowing them for a short time, she feels like she is able to trust them whole-heartly, and knows she will see them again in the future. Aladdin notices the difference in the Rukhs' colors and movements when Shia and Sinbad are saying their good-byes, thinking to himself how Shia makes Sinbad look more like a human than a king. (<-IMPORTANT!!! Because this is literally the reason why Shia has to DIEEEEEEEE ) Shia and Aladdin's relationship become more of a mother/child relationship as they grow to further understand each other during the Sindria Arc.
Q: Why does Shia encourage Aladdin to leave Sindria even though Sinbad is against letting him leave to Magnostadt?
A: Shia respects her king and dear friend, but is wary of how brilliant Sinbad's radiance--his influence on others is. Shia saw how this affected Alibaba during the Balbadd Arc, and because she cares about the young trio, she encourages them to see the world before blindly following Sinbad's light. She absolutely HATES it when Sinbad reverts to trying to "manipulate" people to join him and his vision, because doing so would further make Sinbad turn into the person he never wanted to become. Although Shia fully supports Sinbad's dream, as a King's Candidate herself, she has her own mission and dream that she has to achieve. This pisses Sinbad off because things don't go as smoothly as he hopes, but he knows that Shia is faithful and would never betray him.
Q:What's Shia's relation to Sinbad?
A: I'mma try and keep this short, because Shia was literally created to be the other half of Sinbad and I could go on forever LOLOLOL Shia is Sinbad's childhood friend. (BAM, DONE LOL) More of their history is covered in the AoS series, where although they started their adventure together, Shia leaves Sinbad after Valefor's dungeon due to her helplessness and eventually joins back with Sinbad and the others after the Artemyra Arc (I made up an arc after this one to specifically reintroduce the new and improved Shia 2 years later in the story LOL).

All you really need to know for Magi is that Shia is the only person alive who knew Sinbad "before he became a dungeon capturer" and that over time, they both continue to support and love each other unconditionally. They never marry (yet? DUNDUNDUNNNN) because Shia would rather Sinbad use marriage as a political move to gain more power, but she jokingly replies that she doesn't mind being his side-mistress. Shia is one of the few alive able to invoke so many emotions from Sinbad, allowing him to seem more "human". However, the only (and BIGGEST) flaw in their relationship is that they are BOTH AMBITIOUS individuals, and are more obsessed with creating a stable foundation for a new world free of injustices and sorrow.
