Description NYAHAHAHAHA...I'm so lazy right now. Probably the next piece I'll focus on shading and highlighting but I really just wanted to shade like in anime because y'know...I'm a bum LOL

I wanted to show a little sillier side of Shia because in most of the drawings that I've done of her, she seems sooooo...serious. And she actually really isn't! Especially when she's younger! AHAHAHAH

A little Q&A session to further explore Shia's personality and design! <3

-----------------------------------
How easy is it to upset Shia?

It really depends on the situation. In a more serious scenario, it's usually the case when you hurt those who are closest to her or if there is some kind of discrepancy in the dream that she seeks to achieve. In this context however...it's where a man just called her ugly LOL Shia is somewhat vain, and it is etched into her mind through her mother and mentor that "beauty is power". She takes extra care in how she presents herself and uses her appeal to her advantage when it comes to collecting Intel or even when she graces the battlefield. With that being said, it hits a sore spot whenever people call her "ugly", "old hag", or any term with a repulsive connotation. In turn, she tends to go overboard and beats the living shit out of anyone who does so. AHAHAHAHA

Out of Shia's relatively simple outfit--what stands out is the necklace. In fact, this necklace carries on into her main Magi outfit. What is the significance of this necklace?

This necklace was given to her by none other than Sinbad himself, during their childhood days in Tison Village. Well, kinda--basically Sin and Shia got into a little fight when they were younger and resulted in Shia being very upset. Badr and Esra, noticing the little argument, gave the necklace for Sin to gift to Shia to appease her anger. Along with an apology, it worked, and Shia's worn this necklace ever since.

This necklace actually ends up becoming the vessel where Shia holds Valefor's blessing. Before acquiring her own Djinn, Shia was a household vessel under Sinbad's Djinn Valefor, the last dungeon Sinbad captured prior to Shia leaving the party. Shia returns after the Artemyra Arc, where she goes on a mission in disguise and under a new alias "Zarah" with Sinbad, Hinahoho, Ja 'far and their new comrade, Mystras. During the mission, Shia was able to trick the others into thinking that the powers of Valefor were actually of her own Djinn, but it wouldn't be too long until Sinbad finds the icy chills oddly familiar.

Shia is the only person who is both a King's Candidate and a Household Vessel. She's able to hold both of these titles and abilities mainly because of her own determination to change the world and her strong belief in Sinbad's dream as well.

What's the ring around her neck?

This ring belonged to Esra. As a dying wish to Shia, Esra asked her to protect Sinbad and his dreams, for he will change the world. Shia agrees, and the ring is passed down to her. After Valefor's dungeon, Shia finds that she is far too weak to protect anyone and returns the ring back to Sinbad as she cannot fulfill her promise in her current state. 2 years pass when they reunite through coincidence and the ring is returned to Shia after her disguise as "Zarah" was uncovered.

For a long time in the AoS series, Shia wears it around her neck. After some time however, she starts wearing it on her finger. Despite changing the ring's location, it still maintains to hold its meaning as a promise to a dream, as opposed to the usual meaning of a promise to love.
