i think dreadnought is a pretty cool guy, he kill aliens and doesn't afraid of anything.taking a break from wow. thinking of starting a 40k army.
to those of you who plays. can i mix my army? like tau and space marines and eldar?

I uh, made up a dreadnought HQ that also has a jet pack
165 Jet Pack Walker with two twin-linked autocannons, so essentially an imperial crisis suit whom should hopefully play like a battlemech from battletech

In this fight I would back the crisis suits. Their plasma rifles could glance the dreadnought to death, and they're a lot faster with their jet packs. The dreadnought still has a good chance of coming out on top if the suits don't have any weapons higher than strengthΒ 6.Β

i should have put all fusions on them.

Not really sure about this. A Dreadnought will crush both in melee, but the suits can jump and shoot, jump and shoot. Some Chinese dirty tactics.

1500 points of imperial fists and Steel Legion. Just. Gone.

where you rolling badly, or was he rolling well? if neither, then something might have been a tad off. many things could have gone wrong, but all lists are beatable, some more so than others.

I had three platoons of Fists with six Heavy Bolters, two dreadnaughts with AC's, two IG Vet squads, three LR-Vanquishers, and a thirty-man IG Steel Legionary Platoon W/Lord Commissar and junior officer ALL open up on his Gay-knights, with IG using 1st rank- 2nd rank, all open up on him, (I got first turn) and I made fuck-loads of hits, Fists re-rolled ones, vets hit on threes, and three shots for each guardsman within 12' my IG Platoon were rolling around 90 dice, i hit with most, and manage to wound with half that, everything else rolls pretty well and wounds.
Then he rolls a fuck crazy number of saves and psychic saves and feel no pains and invulnerable, and wound allocations at one point he was rolling a 2+ FNP and 2+ Invul ontop of a 3+ Armor save.
Next turn happens, he rapes me with Psy-cannons and Manticore troll launchers.
only 1 vanquisher left alive, 1 dread with 1 hull left, 2 vet squads. 10 fists.
everything else is dead. I fail moral, vets retreat off table, he finishes me off next turn.
If I ever see Matt ward I'm going to brutally ass fuck him for ever one of my Guardsmen that died that day because of his loaded shit-licking cheese.
And then I'll force feed him models of his 'special snow-flake' Ultramarine's.
