lol i'ts almost a year for me too, yeah i hope it fixes up soon! i live in Venezuela so the economic crisis is making hard to find good jobs, more so for someone who just graduated from college but nothing ventured nothing gained!

Yeah, And what I told my Girlfriend. a crummy job will at least pay the bills while you look for a better job. It's always easier to find work, when you're already employed. I don't know how much of that advice applies to Venezuela's situation, but i can't imagine it's too different.

saddly is bad, private compannies aren't really hiring because the goverment had made some bullshit laws that basically favor the employees while putting compannies at a big loss, they shield you and make you a total deadbeat that cannot be kicked out once hired until after 2 years, not to mention everything keeps becoming more and more expensive but the goverment forces compannies to keep the same price on their products so they ain't making much gains and can't keep much people employed and well, just hell is basically a comunist hell trying to overtake whatever capital/non-goverment niches there are, trying my luck at internet jobs on Upwork since where i live nobody REALLY wanna hire newcomers like me, plus working for the goverment ain't no choice if i go to them they're not even gonna let me do my work but drag me along to manifestations and basically stand there for hourse while our Dictator in chief Maduro speaks (making it seem like he has followers among civilians essentially) and they not even gonna pay me fully in money but half of it in "food boxes", heck even if i somehow find a job minimun wage here is about 730.000 Bolivars (our currency) monthly, it is estimated that you need 2.5 MILLION bolivars for a family of 3 to eat well WEEKLY, and our currency's value is so low atm that 1$ (American Dollar) equals 235.000 Bolivars so yeah, here's hoping Upwork results for me cuz if it does then hell yeah i'm set somewhat comfy till i can finally get out of this shit-hole (and yeah dude, i know, is sad when you call your own country a shithole but seriously things are critical here, and that's just me talking about money, don't get me started about the corruption and insecurity issues...ejem sorry Shono kinda just vented a whole storm on ya buddy ^^")

It's cool dude. I can't possibly fully understand what that's like being an american. Not that we don't have our own problems and issues with corruption and economy (have you seen our president? he looks up to dictators for inspiration.), But our problems seem to be the opposite side of the spectrum. where businesses are given far more power, so they can control the government and keep wages very low, so even if you do have a job, it won't be enough to pay rent. (this isn't an immediate and severe problem for most people in the states but it's growing , and if nothing is done it will be a significant problem down the line.)

It's not fair to compare a problem that might face my country in 20 years vs a problem you're facing now. Hopefully you can find your way out soon!

thanks man! and admitingly i know very little about Donald Trump, the one thing i can say he is doing well is putting his boot up on the dictators from my country and not letting them washt heir money all the way in the US which has them throughouly pissed, and it's a small joy admitingly, wish we could say he did more good stuff because from the sound of it allot of people from up there ain't happy about his rule, still let me cut this one message short, i wish you as much luck with your patreon as i wish myself luck in Upwork, here's for a future with less money issues

Yeah, I guess having a US president that openly hates brown people that speak Spanish has some sort of silver lining? (i can't believe that's even a fraction true...)

hehe honestly Maduro our "president" being of color i guess ir more or less just coincidence but i'll tell you this if you ever see him talking about the crisis in Venezuela, as a Venezuelan myself i can guarantee you that everything he says about this particular topic is 100% truth (i know, scary isn't it? a politician being HONEST bout something lol) and man that would be AWESOME! btw there's allot of different culloquialism in spanish so there's a clear difference between say Mexican Spanish, or Spanish from Spain, or South American etc, not saying i'm gonna i'm gonna fill ya with bills just a heads up that if we do make business, gonna try my darnnest to adjust the translation to the country you're targetting your sales at

I am certainly a stupid american, but i do know about the differences in dialects, as you'd imagine in any language. 
I don't have a specific demographic of Spanish speakers i'm aiming for deliberately. I guess if I had to focus i'd probably start with Puerto Rican first (since they're Americans) and Mexican's second since they're our immediate neighbor.  But I imagine, as long as you don't use anything that is uniquely Venezuelan any Spanish speaker will know what is meant even though it might not be the word they use.

Much like when i watch British TV, when they say fag, i know they're not being hateful towards a gay person, they just want a cigarette. But maybe my ignorance is showing and it's a little bit different in Spanish.

yeah more or less it is as you said, only issue with spanish is that well, not trying to brag nor anything but is abit complex language in the way we tend to make up allot of words in dialects that are synonism with one another but never used outside their own region for example:
Venezuelan's "chamo" Mexican "Wei" both mean "dude" but nobody in Venezuela ever says Wei and vice-versa on Mexico saddly's not like fag that has many different meanings across almost all english versions, in spanish there are many cases where one word only exicts in their region and has a very distinct meaning, and like that there are other examples, but well just saying cuz if your patreon works and we do business i'll aim to make it super easy to understand to the region you cater to, if you choose me to translate that is XD
