I love cobblestone roads, and I like how you have turned this one on it's end - makes me think something is driving you up the wall. I like the the grey scale with the splash of ocre up the side with the wheel treds -- it adds a soft weight to the image.
Also - the soft black ooz of bubbling curve on the left is a texturally good contrast to both the ocre & the stone.
The overall tone of the piece is quite 'dark' - that is, the feeling from it, not the actual color. It's a pretty powerful piece that way.
I think this would be a really good album cover! It's an interesting piece that catches a person's attention. I like it very much.
