never got a chance to comment this... after being off da for seventeen days, i had over 1000 deviation notices, and i didn't feel like sifting through them, so i ignored every.single.one. this is a great photo, and i wish i was able to see it on smaller view, because the entire thing doesn't fit on my screen. i love the lighting in this piece and the buildings have this old but beautiful look. perhaps it's just because it's black and white, but i like that about the buildings. and the road... it has me wondering what is on it. and a person... i think that the lantern conflicts with the rest of the photograph. maybe it's just me, but the lantern gives it a confusing touch.
wow... i hope you understood what i just said, because i didn't. there's something wrong with waking up at 4:30 and not being able to fall back asleep: nothing is coherent.

yeah well, maybe I was being a bit ironic about the wonderfulness of incoherence. Actually I forgot to ask, what did you do not being on dA for a whole 17 days? Holidays?
