Description Real Name: Choldwig Adler
Other Names: The Baron
Date of Birth: 9th January
Age: 25
Nationality: German
Place of Birth: Munich, Bavaria, Germany
Family: Unknown
Occupation: German Air Force Pilot
Origin:
Choldwig was born into a long line of fighter pilots going back as far as the machines have existed. As was expected, he joined the Air Force early on, but out of his own love of flying, rather than out of any kind of familial obligation. He was inspired by the stories his father, grandfather and great-grandfather would tell of soaring through the skies. Naturally, actual military aeronautics was nothing like the romanticised adventures he had been told of, but he didn't care.
While out on maneuvers, his jet suffered engine trouble and he had to eject. The next time, his next jet suffered similar troubles and his ejection almost made him hit a nearby rockface. The third time his plane had given troubles, he ejected mere seconds before the entire thing exploded, leaving him with light burns on his legs and minor injuries from a faster-than-expected landing thanks to ember burns in the parachute. Seeing this as a sign, Childwig promptly quit the Air Force amid rumours and fear that he was cursed.
Following this, he became conflicted. He still lveod to fly, but the inherent dangers of a "flying metal coffin" were now more real to him than ever before. He decided to try and make a difference for others by creating a new form of aerial transportation. He assembled a team of aeronautical engineers to help him design and construct a back-mounted flight pack with an assortment of built in safety features.
Partly to not endanger anyone else and partly to prove that he was not cursed, Choldwig personally tested each new iteration before anyone else until they had a fully-working prototype to present to the Luftwaffe. One the way to present the device, Choldwig and his design team witnessed a high-speed pursuit. Choldwig took the prototype flight pack and took off after the criminals, dropping a variety of objects from bins to rocks onto the car until it was forced to pull over.
The top brass that ahd been awaiting Choldwig's presentation witnessed the entire thing via a live news broadcast, leading to a greenlight as soon as he walked in the door. Rather than mass production, howevere, it was decided that Choldwig would pilot the device until it was truly ready for that step, making Choldwig the world's first government-sponsored super-hero, the Red Baron.

I was trying to tinker with the name "Red Baron" for a character, but I didn't know how to make it happen. Your design certainly has that timelessness quality to it.

As of such, I'll give you a free name you can use yourself: "The Rogue Cop"!

Yeah, but he's not American. He'd likely end up in Cobra. Now, live action G.I. Joe, he could join the Joes there, but he'd need a black bodysuit. You just can't win...
