Growing up watching Bollywood movies, young Abhay Ajit fell in love with the amazing stunt work playing out before him and vowed to become a stunt performer himself. Eventually, he succeeded, becoming famous for his seeming indestructibility.
Years later, while working on a scene in which the film's protagonist had to escape over a vat of experimental chemicals, the film's producers chose to save some money by filming over a real vat of experimental chemicals instead of obtaining simple dyes. During the stunt, Abhay slipped on the wet catwalk and fell into the vat, becoming completely submerged. When the vat was drained, Abhay emerged, seemingly unharmed, leaving medical professionals baffled.
A later scene required Abhay to work alongside Kalyani Nalini, a stunt double for the film's female lead, where the two had to leap across an alley from the rooftop. During one take, Abhay noticed that Kalyani's safety harness was faulty. As the harness snapped and she plummeted towards the ground, Abhay reached out for her unconsciously, finding himself suddenly in her place and she in his. Upon hitting the ground, Abhay realised that the fall, although painful, had not actually caused any physical damage to his body, not even a light graze.
The incident caused quite a stir, leaving a perplexed film crew to question how Abhay had managed to perform such a feat. Regardless of the how, Abhay's actions won him Kalyani's heart and the two were wed soon after.
Through experimentation, Abhay and Kalyani found that Abhay's skin was now unbreakable and he also possessed the power to switch places with others, allowing him to effectively become that person's stunt double, so long as he could see them with his own eyes. In addition, he later gained the ability to shift into the forms of other people. Seeing the potential of these powers, Abhay made the decision to use his gifts to protect others in addition to his career in film, as the invincible Stuntman.
