The tears that rusted and oxidized my cold metallic skin weren't shed for the pain of losing my longtime lover. I could have her back in a nanosecond with just a subtle whir of my metallic heart whispering a siren song she could not resist. No, I wept because she had taken with her a suitcase filled with my most prized possessions; my nineteen seventy-five era gym socks, my collection of multi-colored pocket lint, and my one and only poly-bagged mint copy of Superman issue #75. I stood frozen in indecision. One word could bring her back into my hydraulic arms and yet one well placed blow on the top of her head-bowl could ensure this would never happen again. Either way, I'd get my stuff back. Decisions, decisions...Artwork featured in this month's (September 2009) Corelยฎ Painter Magazine as a tutorial showing how to use Painter's Liquid Inks.

Poor robot can't get in the water.
Poor mermaid has to wear a bubble just to surface!
The bears are indifferent and just don't care... but the robot has such a broken heart... cause he longs for the mermaid... but he knows she can't always stay on the surface, just like he can never go into the water...
What's worse is that even if they could figure it out... the city behind them is creeping in and threatening to take over the beach.
Lol, this is kinda fun, trying to make sense of it all!

This painting really makes me feel the sorrow of a breakup. Even with how adorable the bears are, they actually lend more to that feeling.

Impressive! I love the Bear on the quad!!! looks like he's trying to get his girl to join him, Meanwhile the most incompatible couple on the beach are mourning what could never be, Looks more like they wish to be together but cannot because she is of the sea and he will rust in water. There is a suggestion of pollution as well, The city is Dark and gloomy, and has black smoke mix with the clouds and on the edges of the piece. Its like the beach is the only happy place and yet there is the intrusion of sadness upon the beach as well.
I feel bad for the little purple bear, because it looks like his water wings didn't do much for him, but he seems in luck because the life guard has noticed! Assuming the life guard can see past the robots butt that is lol, well ok... his foot...
I've noticed the two bears creating a sand sculpture, it almost looks like a skull and yet it seems like its meant to be a face instead.... the cyclops worms/caterpillars/millipedes, kinda scare me though lol

I think this is the most emotive of the suggestivist works in $techgnotic 's article. Even though the one is a machine, his pain is still palpable. And I love the whimsy of the curved skyline.
