The colors in this look great. I really like the sky especially. This looks like it would made a pretty awesome black light poster as well.

Thank you. I was messing with the dim light situation which was difficult because of the subtle color changes and the amount of complimentary colors involved. Great learning in this one.

I thought it might be interesting:
"Tikis" or ki'i were sacred wood sculptures carved by native Hawaiians that depicted one of the main polynesian gods, which were later commercialized, desacralized, and cartoonized by western media, resulting in the image that you dispay here ^.

Yep we humans are constantly evolving and reinterpreting the world around us. There was a time that the Gods of Mt. Olympus were all considered good and pure and fearful and later when Christianity was introduced they became nothing more than mythology. I think that is the life cycles of all faiths. Sooner or later one will topple another and the former will just be nothing more than stories and cool imagery.

but unlike greek religion, their beliefs havent been "toppled over" or made into myths but people still believe and practice it today in Hawai'i.

That is so many shades of awesome! From the overall pure tiki aesthetic to the little details of the smoke drifting from the tiki torch or the music notes bobbing in the waves, I love this!
