Please stop mentioning the fact that her eyes aren't purple. I based this Dany 100% off of Emilia Clarke, and at the time of painting, I didn't even know about the purple eyes. I've never been such a purist that something like the wrong eye colour would ever bother me, and this is clearly fanart of the TV show, which I watch religiously, and not of the book, which I have no farting clue what goes on in there asdfghjklpffffffff Thanks for all the love that this pic is getting, especially recently on Reddit. I did it on a whim and I'm quite embarrassed about it now.
Still, I love you guys like I want Dany and Jorah to kiss! Thanks so much!

I absolutely adore this duo, so how could I possibly resist doing my take on them?
So yeah, Daenerys and Friendzone ... uh, I mean, Jorah. 
Don't act like you don't call him that, too.
Anyways, I'm totally rooting for Friendzone.
Daenerys should just hook up with him already. So what if he's old enough to be her grandpa? He kicks ass!

Wow, this is beautiful! I love how their faces are somewhat cartoony combined with detailed skin and cloth textures, and how the reflected blueish light really makes them look part of the environment. And why should you feel silly for drawing the characters as they appear on the show? I enjoy drawing my own versions of the characters, but I love looking at other versions, including the show versions. Plus, let's be real, show!Jorah is ridiculously attractive.

i see where ur coming form with the actor thing. when i fanart, i tend to not incorporate a lot of the actors' appearances, but mainly because i was drawing my favorite characters long before they had actors to look like, and i want to keep them as mine. that and because sometimes the actor's appearance isn't completely accurate to the book, and accuracy is my #1 priority. i haven't read song of ice and fire, but i'm going to after i finish watching game of thrones (for time management reasons). after i do read the series, i'll be able to compare them better. for now, all i can say is that where fanart is concerned, if the actor is accurate why not draw to their likeness? if not, then i wouldn't.

This is the best GoT fanart I've seen so far. You should totally do one of Dany and her handmaidens (like that scene in Season 1 when Dany's getting a mani-pedi) that'd be awesome. But yes, I can't get over how absolutely fantastic this is, well done!
