Inktober 2018 Day 29 prompt "Double"

The mermaid swam down till she was level with the approaching human seated in the wheelchair. Both gasped as they stared into near perfect reflections.

It was surreal, watching herself floating in the giant aquarium, with the same fiery red hair though much longer and flowing freely around her head, her entire body exposed, not a single piece of cloth or finery to adorn her gorgeous figure. But below the hip she had a long shimmering green tail that ended with wide translucent fins that bestowed upon her grace in the waters?

It was surreal, watching the woman seated behind the glass. She looked just like her, though her hair was cut short and wasn’t as wild. She wore clothes, but she could tell her graceful frame was still similar to hers. She wondered why she sat, her legs hidden under a blanket. Didn’t she had long beautiful legs that allowed humans to dance on land?

Their hands met on the glass, identical, though the mermaid had a bit of webbing between her fingers and the woman’s slightly calloused.
They stared at each other’s light blue eyes, searching for an explanation, a difference that would dispel their mysterious connection. But there was no denying their similarities, each one looking at a double of themselves and not quite understanding how.

Do they actually look alike? I probably should have used something like a ruler to get it exactly alike. Too late I guess. Also, the end?
