I found that dress in a mall when I was with my mom there, I tool a picture of it with my phone camera, I thought it would look cute on my Lolita :3Related content

Dear Fireworks4Ever, thank you so much for your critique, I will try to learn from it as much as possible. however, there are two things I would like to point out about it:-
- Lolita is the name of the girl, the artwork is not meant to be a gothic lolita or anything
- I did not design that particular dress, I saw it in a mall and decided to draw Lolita while she is wearing it

Interesting link! I will make sure I read through all that article, you are the second person to share a similar link to that... But thing is, Lolita is the girl name, and it has nothing to do with the style of the picture "Sweet Lolita" means that Lolita is showing her sweetness in the picture :3
The two strands at the left of her? I think they are cute, but I agree they may take more attention that what they deserve.
I like your use of the word "vibrance", she is "Sweet" Lolita after all^^
I am glad you liked the pins, but to be honest, I only drew the handles of the pins, and then I added the flowers on them from a picture I have. :3
Believe me! I have plans to make a much better pictures than this, in both the sweetness and the other artistic sides of figure drawing.

I apologize for misunderstanding the fact that the girl's name is 'Lolita'. It's actually a very pretty name.
I had to pick very carefully to pick the right words.

The drawing is cute and very glossy but that's the problem, it happens to foreshadow the actual image itself, her head looks somewhat awkward as if the backside of it is missing as well as her ear, her arms looks slightly disfigured and the left hand has long fingers the best solution to see the flaws easier is flipping it horizontally, the drawing in general seems generic her expression looks static, stiff especially her pose, it also shows that theres a lack in understanding anatomy my advice is to study it alot and test out different styles rather than shojo.

I agree with you about the head problems. And your advice to study more anatomy is noted. But I disagree with you about her expression looking static, I mean, doesn't Anime always looks static like that?

No not all anime has to have static expressions some could be loose and for the overshadowing part you tend to focus more on the coloring and cutesy stuff instead of proper anatomy, I could not say that because of the 100 word limitation

While I don't understand everything in your critique, I am glad you liked it, specially your opinion on the hair and the eyes. Also, I think you tried to tell me that the nails need some work to be good, I will work more in that in the future. Also, I am pretty cheered that you expect great art from me in the future, I promise you that I will do my best to make a better art :3

This is beautiful, however it still needs some work. This isn't very original, however it gets points because I've never seen a red headed anime girl wearing a pink dress before. As for your vision...I don't really see what you were trying to do with this picture. It's the lack of a background. Without a background, it's hard to see what your purpose for creating this girl was. Your technique is good, but the hands look too thin, and her anatomy of her arms make her look like a awkward Barbie doll. Improve on this, but her body structure overall is great. As for the impact......not a lot. It just doesn't put off enough from the other categories to give me much. It didnt leave me astonished.......it left me saying, "that's cool." But nothing else. While your color choice is excellent, your style needs some work. However, overall, this is good.
