yeah the snow cone was good. i loved freezies. depending on where you're from, you might also call it a freeze pop

it's really hard to find any other flavor than the orange ones though. fudgesicles are good, but i like the fruity frozen treats best. i've even made my own ice cream. i haven't found a perfect recipe for it though. still working on it. that and the perfect pizza dough. we all must have our goals to strive towards.

What wonderful lighting. The blue makes a nice contrast as well. I just really like the simplicity of it all.

Oh yeah...can I watch you? Your gallery is wonderful. Portraits are so difficult and you make it look like child's play. :-*

Tasty looking. I'd drink that any day
Pretty interesting, when you look at the glass for a while. First it looks like what is obvious: a frozen martini drink, but the blurry borders have a strange airbrush effect... "photo or drawn?" Great piece, I better check something else too from this gallery

Great picture. Made me VERY thirsty.

You know I was going to say that it looked like a skiing show through the water.

It looks like film but it's so crisp. What rig did you use?

I used a Canon 10D. I lit the front from a low angle with a Alienbees B800 flash, and the back with a diffused B800 flash.

Identifiable, yet surreal.

Great studio shot.
Although I think the reddish objects on the left side are a little distracting. However, the object's reflection in the glass is great. Good lighting as usual

is this a reflection play in the glass making the glass appear to be full?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

superkev In reply to devilicious [2003-12-07 06:02:12 +0000 UTC]

nope. the glass actually was full of water. but the shape of the glass and the water inverted and magnified the cool skiing show that was on the TV in the background.

A beautiful use of color and focus. I also enjoy your framing, as it shows off the lines in the photo very well. The contrast of blue and white, along with the shimmer of the glass, is what really gets my attention.

As far as the water drops on the outside of the glass, I'm not sure they really do much for me. I think maybe if they were a little more prominent, they might work better. But as I see it, this photo might be better off without them.

Still though, this is just another one of your amazing creations with light and lens. Great job Kev.
