Description "Music is well said to be the speech of angels."
~ Thomas Carlyle (1795 - 1881)

I listened to the old fellow play for a while, as he entertained passers-by from his perch at the door to the old garage. Soon, a little boy and his mom walked up and stood next to me, toe-tapping to the music. When he was done with his song, the aged accordionist paused just long enough to tell the boy that the noise that is heard on the radio today isn't music. The man smiled broadly when the boy nodded in agreement and said that he's learning to play the trumpet. Then the man played another song..an upbeat tune..some real music.

That is classic. Everything about it just speaks to you. It's bit like...the ultimate vintage. Nothing cheesy with flashy colours, just truth. Heart. And of course the music.

Great capture, Mark.
He's old, ok, but there is a timeless quality about him, something eternal, I wouldn't be surprised if he still that there in 50 years time.

What a great character. Reminds me of the bluegrass jam sessions my dad frequents...
I snapped a shot of an old fellow at a Bob Dole Rally back in '96. He was ancient, with a white beard and a crudely cut walking staff. Could have been Moses, except for the overalls.

I was wondering why there were two of these But I see you took the other down. I was trying to find the difference! Anyways, great sentiment here and wonderfully captured! I could almost tap my foot myself
