Oh. My. God. I would stay there FOREVER. It's so peacefull and...I don't know. It's that kind of place that could inspire me.

This is such a fantastic photo, but I almost wish the person on the bike had not been there. There is such an ethereal quality in some places and the magic is there for all, but few could capture the moment with such grace. The trees almost move; one can feel the energy of this place.

I was able to recognize this picture right away by looking at the thumbnails. You were absolutely right, this looks very similar to the picture I took. I love how the shadows show up all over the floor and the person in the pictures adds up to a sort of invitation to this beautiful place.

Wonderful photo, Mark.
A symphony of light and shadow played in the branches of the trees and then the echo on the ground.
If I had to sum up the message of your work for me in one word - it would be "serenity".

I wish I could go somewhere like that. There are places back home in PA that are similar, but here in Utah actual trees are few and far between. As I've been noticing you have a great sense of placement. The small tree almost in the middle of the shot being overtowered...and the cyclist as a reference point to realize the size and perspective of it all. Of course, the sepia tone gives it that nostalgic feeling like the one that your son is going to look back on and smile.

So dense! I love the patches of light. Reminds me of summer. Nice work with the sepia as well.

Dude, this is a great shot. It's hard to expose pictures in the woods, but here you managed to capture some great shadows and light. well done.

*sigh* that's wonderful. i think i need to go for a walk outside right now just to think. Here are some quotes i absolutely love from American Beauty:
-Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in. ~Ricky Fits
- it's hard to be angry when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes, I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and I can't take it. My heart swells up like a balloon that's about to burst. ~Lester
-When you see something like that, it's like God is looking right at you, just for a second. And if you're careful, you can look right back. ~Ricky
Anyways, good job!

I love the shadow play in this beaufiful capture, the patterns they make, criss-crossing the road, nice how the trees form an umbrella of protection, hiding what is beyond. I love the tones, very classic and the textures, beautiful, Mark. A fave, too.

I really liked the color texture of this photo. As soon as I saw it in the mix, I wanted to come in for a closer look.
