Pleasantly nostalgic. The sepia tone adds to the 'faded' mood. I can see my granpapa smiling, "You kids climb the mango tree again? Lookat'a scrapes in your knees! When I was young, we don get no scrapes; we were like monkeys." I bet he was. Wonderful concept.

I'm with Rick, this brings tears. Happy times, peaceful times, simple things that would make you happy. Apple pie, a dandelion and cozy nights with lemonade and the stars peeking out at you........and making our simple little wishes come true.

It's a warm photo with a lovely tone. But it's almost sad in a way. The empty chairs fill me with unease and sadness for what is not there. The old faces would give me a sense of comfort and peace. Either way, it invokes emotion. And that's the idea, isn't it?

This is really beautiful. I remember a porch and two chairs just like that, and two dear old friends (gone some time now) who's lives were as in rhythm as the chairs as they rocked in them in the evening. I hope there were many such chairs on porches, and remembered moments, love, laughter, and hope shared there.
