Yeah the 7D was an awesome camera. Due to mechanical reasons, and a new Sony A900, the 7D is now on permanent historical display.

I buy a A700 but my heart goes to my old 7d

the 700 is nice, but if I had to suggest, the A850 is the same body as the A900, but priced about $750 less. Still right around 2 grand, but you still get the 35mm CMOS... which is beautiful.
