Great shot. I have to agree with your comment though, about it being a bit low in contrast. Also, there's a bit of a ghost image of what looks like the top of the Chrysler building right in the middle. You had a good vantage point for this one! Jersey side right?

This one isn't particularly my favorite and I almost deleted it a few times. Not enough contrast for my taste. I do however appreciate the support.

Sure! Like you said, just credit and link me and maybe take a photo of whatever your finished product is for me to see. I always like to see what people do with my photos.

This photo hardly does Gotham any justice. Hopefully you make it there one day. I live only 10 minutes away and I still get excited when I go.

This was a 5 shot HDR manually set up. No real trick to it. Just mounted it on my tripod and used the release cord and I'm good to go.

Lovely stuff. So...this is that High Density Range technique? I saw something about this in a photo mag. Is it something built into the camera, or a software thing? I think you take bracketed images and somehow sandich them for more detail in the shadowlands, something like that?

Yeah its basically bracketing. You could either let the camera braken for you, or do it manually buy changing exposure times. Then using Photoshop or Photomatix the computer take all the images and balances it out to create an equally evenly exposed photo across the entire image instead of having point that are to washed out or dark.

I'm impoverished and use PaintShopPro. Come to think of it, there is a brightness/contrast tool called Histogram Equalize. I bet it does a poor man's job of it.
Thanks.

Histogram equalize, if I remember correctly, is for single image use to attempt to put everything in the same exposure range. Don't quote me on that though, it's been a while since I've used such a tool.
