Well, as you might have guessed, I'm all hyped up for Devil May Cry 4.....Anywho since I first saw an advertisement for the game, I've wanted to draw the red queen. It's just so cool! :3 The first time I tried and failed horribly (the only image I could find kinda had a sucky angle, and my chosen drawing method was poor)...the gods know how long later (a day or two ago) I got caught up in the Devil May Cry-ness again and decided to try a second time at the sword. After doing a hell of a lot better I decided to put it up on SolidWorks for all to see
There are some parts that need to be fiddled with, but after I got the whole thing done I didn't feel like going into it more and just wanted to finish.Enjoy

though it is tempting, I won't be making this out of wood. After making my buster sword I'm all wood-worked out for now.
I made the drawing on paper off of a screen shot and added dimensions proportional to my body for the model. From me being 6ft tall it came out as a 4ft blade with another 1+ft for the handle and little details.

try making cloud's version. I made hekireki as my own version. maybe you can do well on how to form the guard.

Gah! I couldn't figure out what the hell that edgyness was on the back end of the blade, looked like red spikes in all pics i've seen..

well I didn't map that out as it should be.....I paused one of the videos on ign.com and saw that they're kinda of like exhaust for the power of the sword when he turns the handle/pulls the trigger.

next time render it to show more detail. that way you dont have the zigzag lines on the borders. it also will look sharper. other then that that is a wicked sword.
