Description
As promised -these are some of the supplementary photos Paul and I created for the background of Doctor Who: Fade Away.The idea here was that Doctor was to meet the Brigadier in a pub that was the traditional watering hole of UNIT members and before that military personnel in general.
So with that in mind some of the photos weren't necessarily Doctor Who based. Just British military based.
So we have a chap in fatigues. A nondescript UNIT soldier.
Liz Shaw from her P.R.O.B.E days.
Jo Grant and Cliff Jones.
Sarah Jane and The Doctor.
Harry Sullivan.
Nieuport Nie.17 Fighter plane.

That's from many years after her 3rd Doctor days. When she was with P.R.O.B.E. if you haven't seen that it makes sense you wouldn't recognize her.

I like the spread of 'time passing' you've got here, and in the other photos. Really gives the story an anchor - these characters have a past.

It's true. I considered doing Cliff and Jo older with all the kids. But ended up with this. I figured they'd of sent the Photo to Benton pretty early on in their marriage. For some reason I've got it in my head that Benton was in charge of hanging photos at the pub...dunno why?

Nope. It's Liz.
Decades later, Doctor Shaw worked with the P.R.O.B.E. (the Preternatural Research Bureau), a paranormal investigation organization not unlike UNIT or the Torchwood Institute. (BBV: The Zero Imperative) She eventually returned to working with UNIT.
